Content Tools for Realtors

By Last Updated March 16, 2022 5 min read

Welcome back to Farm Fridays at Virtuance! It’s time for some more useful tips for all of you real estate agents out there trying to grow your farms and generate more business. This week, I’m going to show you some of my favorite content tools and how you can incorporate them in your real estate marketing playbook!

Usually, I start out these posts with some key definitions. However, since this post is more of a list than a how-to, I’ll skip the definitions for now and get right to the good stuff.

Why Do I Need Content?

Great question. You may assume that to be a successful realtor, you just need a good website and great listings. However, breaking into the real estate business is way easier said than done. According to the National Association of Realtors, 87% of realtors fail in their first five years on the job. However, having a solid business plan that includes digital marketing can help you succeed where others fail.

Content Tools for Blogs

One of the easiest things you can do for your real estate business is maintaining a blog. Did you know that small businesses with blogs generate more than double the amount of leads than those without? When you have a blog on your website, you end up having a lot of pages that can be indexed by Google. Those additional pages give Google more information about your business and can help you show up higher on search engine result pages (SERPs). However, writing a blog (much like being a real estate agent) is often easier said than done. While a blog gives you the opportunity to showcase your expertise in your niche, you may find yourself staring at a blank page. These content tools can help you get started and help you find topics to write about!

Answer the Public

Answer the Public is a tool for generating content ideas. The free version allows you to type in a keyword such as “raleigh real estate” or “buy a home.” The tool then analyzes what questions users in the United States ask when they type questions into Google or Bing. With that list of questions, you’ve got content for your blog! Just title your blog with one of the questions and answer it with your content! That way you know that your blog is answering a question that your potential client base is asking online. Answer the Public is also available in a professional version, but unless you’re writing for multiple websites, the free version should be fine for your needs. Try it for your first blog post!

So easy!

Frase.io

One of my favorite tools for content creation is Frase. Frase is a content tool that also features AI writing and SEO analysis. The best thing about Frase is that it goes a bit deeper than Google Search Console when analyzing which search queries your website can be optimized for. You can make sure that your content performs better than your competitors because Frase analyzes your competitors’ content for you! The AI writer tool can also help with writer’s block. Let the AI writer start the content for you or have it create an outline for you to follow. The possibilities are endless! There is a free and paid version of Frase. I may be biased, but I think the paid version is definitely worth it. Make sure to take time for the tutorial videos because there are a lot of great tips for creating relevant content for your potential clients!

Content Tools for Email

Email marketing is a great way for you to nurture leads. We get it. Buyers and sellers don’t immediately start a transaction with you and they take their time. However, how do you make sure they don’t forget about you once you’ve connected? Email marketing.

The most successful real estate agents in the industry are staying active with email marketing. It helps build your brand and you can easily provide information such as listing notices, open house announcements, market trends, and more to your prospective client list.

Mailchimp

Mailchimp is probably the most well-known email marketing tool out there. Why? Because it’s very easy to use. A guided startup, real-time marketing data, and automated emails– what else could you ask for from an email marketing service? Even better– if you have less than 2,000 contacts, you can use the free version. Mailchimp is also a scalable tool, meaning if you build your client list, you can grow with Mailchimp. Make sure to collect an email address from any of your contacts so that you can take advantage of a branded email newsletter for your business.

Conversion.ai

Also known as Jarvis, conversion.ai is a content tool that can write FOR you. Even better, Jarvis has email templates and an AI writer. Basically, you tell Jarvis what you want your email to be about and it will follow your template. Some light editing and voila! Your email is ready to go out to your clients!

It’s that easy with Jarvis.

Content Tools for Social Media

Most real estate professionals know that it is important to stay active on social media. However, social media posts can take up valuable time. Your social media strategy does not have to be time-intensive. In fact, there are many effective tools you can use to create great real estate content without investing a ton of time.

Canva

Canva is a free, effective tool for creating content for social media. It is a graphic design tool where you can make infographics based on data you’d like to show your farm. You can illustrate market news or create a checklist for your home sellers. It’s my humble opinion that every digital marketing strategy should incorporate infographics and unique content wherever possible, especially in niche markets. Canva is easy to use and you don’t need to be a graphic designer to get a good end result!

HootSuite

HootSuite is a tool for social media platforms. You can manage all of your platforms at once with HootSuite: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you name it. The free version allows you to connect up to three social media profiles. You can schedule content for days that you don’t have time to be online. Share news about the current state of the real estate industry with a click of a button. It’s that easy.
