I went into pastry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tai honed her skills, making special occasion and wedding cakes for clients all over the Bay Area. But, her encounter with a real estate agent sparked a new passion in Tai\u2019s mind: She wanted not only to craft cakes but <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.virtuance.com\/blog\/8-strategies-promote-positive-customer-reviews-your-brand-business\/\">real estate deals<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>During her own home buying experience in 1995, Tai\u2019s real estate agent noticed how involved she was in the process, reading all the paperwork and carefully examining all the marketing materials for each prospective home. Although it took 12 years for Tai to make the leap into real estate, she never forgot her agent\u2019s encouraging words.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHome has always been a sanctuary for me,\u201d she said while recalling how she spent much of her childhood globetrotting with her parents who were travel writers. \u201cI think he noticed that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although Tai eventually closed Hannah\u2019s Edible Art in 2013, she never let go of her passion for pastries. In fact, she used the lessons she learned as a chef to propel her career as an agent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very similar in a sense when you\u2019re dealing with brides, and when you\u2019re dealing with people buying a house,\u201d she said. \u201cIt can be a stressful time, and I found out that I really enjoyed the process of working with both kinds of clients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that both are a process,\u201d Tai added. \u201cWhen I\u2019m baking a cake, it\u2019s a creative process, and there\u2019s a lot of detail and care that goes into it. You\u2019re dealing with your clients and you\u2019re trying to help them have the perfect cake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re doing a real estate transaction, you\u2019re working for them and your primary goal is to help them through this process and getting them to their dream home.
