Helps buyers search for a home that fits their lifestyle<\/h2>\n<\/header>\n

Listing descriptions<\/a>\u00a0can only reveal so much about a home \u2014 the number of\u00a0beds and baths<\/a>, the special features in a\u00a0kitchen<\/a>\u00a0or whether the backyard has enough room to entertain. But listings don\u2019t always tell you about the best restaurants to roam into after a night of fun, if your future neighbors are social butterflies or introverted homebodies, or if there\u2019s a howling beagle next door.<\/p>\n

Trulia\u2019s newest feature, \u201cWhat Locals Say,\u201d is placed at the bottom of listing descriptions and aims to help buyers have a sense of their potential future neighborhood. It asks current residents to fill out polls and\u00a0questionnaires about what they love (or don\u2019t love) about their area.<\/p>\n

Trulia says the launch of \u201cWhat Locals Say,\u201d falls in line with their new mission:\u00a0\u201cBuild a more neighborly world by helping you discover a place you\u2019ll love to live.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than 10 years ago, Trulia revolutionized the way people found homes by making real estate listings searchable online. Fast forward to 2018, house hunters now expect to see listings on the Internet,\u201d said Trulia senior vice president and general manager\u00a0Tim Correia in a statement.<\/p>\n
